The Iview of Kevin Polk and colleagues, watching without word

Printer-friendly versionSend by email

This passage reminds me of the essential work that I retain from the iview of Kevin Polk and colleagues: Silence of the mind comes naturally without any effort. When you observe a cloud, look at it without the word and therefore without thought, look at it without the division as the observer. Then there is an awareness and attention in the very act of looking; not the determination to be attentive, but looking with attention, even though that look may last only a second, a minute—that is enough. JUST NOTICING

Kevin,

Your work has transformed my way of doing ACT. Changes are happening implicitly within clients by the "just noticing" part of your interventions. You must know how precious it is. It is unravelling..... I am so grateful to you for sharing and transmitting your work to others. Thanks again. Cristel
