Core ACT processes and their Techniques - Advanced Workshops in Sydney Australia with Mary Sawyer
In this series of 2 full day sessions, over 2 Fridays, participants will have the opportunity to improve and master your ACT competencies. You will be guided step-by step toward mastering these core processes by Mary Sawyer, an experienced ACT practitioner and trainer.
In the Advanced Workshops you will:-
1.Learn how to use and apply ACT resources and advance your core competencies
2.Develop greater psychological flexibility in session and improve your own mindfulness.
3.Target the barriers to your clinical competence by role playing challenging clients.
4.Learn to be less entangled, less burnt out and improve your creativity in session.
Initial exercises will be conducted in groups 2 or 4 and the results will be processed within the small group and the larger group as a whole.
The workshop will contain significant use of mindfulness and present-moment focused work and how to bring this and valued directions directly into interventions.
Experiential role-plays that are close to real clinical interactions will be practiced with the view of improving your case conceptualisations.
Target Audience:
For all ACT clinicians who have been practicing ACT skills for some time or who may have already completed a previous ACT skills workshop series - these 2 skills development days will fine tune you ACT clinical skills with compassionate guidance.
