ACT with Trauma Memories (Web-Based Training)
There is no prerequisite for knowing ACT or The Matrix for this webinar. All levels of clinical experience are welcome.
This course will be four sessions covering how to set up and collaborate with people who suffer with trauma memories.
This is a culmination of over 20 years of work with trauma memories (PTSD), blending Prolonged Exposure and ACT into a package that works and at the same time is very doable for both clients and therapists.
Session 1: Setting up The Matrix and rapport building.
Session 2: Reviewing homework, values (moving toward) work.
Session 2: Reviewing homework, defusion (moving away) work.
Session 2: Reviewing homework, "Blending" five senses experiencing with mental (trauma memories) experiencing while moving toward.
As you can see, this is largely about how to set up the Matrix and then use the processes (noticing 5-senses experiencing, mental experiencing, moving toward and moving away) for the client to "blend" these experiences from a psychological flexible point of view. In Vivo and Imaginal exposure therapy is built into this process.
The webinar will be audio recorded and you will receive an mp3 (iTunes compatible) recording after each session..
ACT (and the Matrix) is a great way of gently brining clients to the trauma-memory work, and once it is set up, then the work is much easier for the clients.
Fee is flexible, anywhere from $1.00 to $125.00. So if you are a poor student or unemployed or something, pay less. If you are a fully employed professional, pay more.
