ACT and risk of violent recidivism?
Dear all,
I work in jail as psychologist and I give advices to the authorithy about the opportunity or not to let prisonners going out. I use tests to evaluate the risk of recidivism like VRAG SORAG HCR20 PCLR and in them they are items witch, for me, are about avoiding experience or accepting experience, having no values or having values... We also use NEO-PIR to evaluate personnality and the opportunity to propose them a psychotherapy (openess). In my opinion, it would be interesting to investigate the link between Acceptance, Valuing (and the 4 others ACT process) and the risk of violent recidivism. For me ACT processus may be protecting factors against risk of recidivism.
If you can give me an advice or any idee, your opinion, if you know research about that, I would be really happy!
Kind regards,
Dierickx Christophe
