I was introduced to ACT during a day-long training with Steve Hayes in 1999 (Bowling Green, OH). I have since attended a day-long training with Kelly Wilson (2004; ABA, Boston) and Summer Institutes in Philadelphia (5 days; 2005) and Chicago (3 days; 2008). I completed a 2-day experiential training with Steve Hayes prior to the week-long 2nd World Conference (2006) in London. I have also attended miscellaneous ACT workshops and presentations at ABCT (AABT), am current on the ACT literature, and am a member of the ACT listserve and an occasional online study group over the past few years. I have given ACT workshops and presentations to psychology interns, psychiatry residents, and staff at the Boston Consortium in Clinical Psychology and VA Boston Healthcare System, and have given one-day workshops in the community.
Studying ACT since 1999 and participated in more formal training in recent years. My background is in CBT and I have transitioned to using ACT nearly full-time in my private practice.
