- ACT Background and Training
I have extensive training in ACT and conduct research on how best to train others interested in learning ACT. I trained under Steve Hayes as an intern and postdoc in Reno for 3.5 years. I spent two years leading the ACT clinical supervision team at the University of Nevada, Reno, some alone and some with Dr. Hayes. I also was supervised by Dr. Hayes for two years. I have attended two weekend intensives with Kelly Wilson and two weekend intensives with Steve Hayes. I have co-led a weekend intensive with Steve Hayes, audited another weekend intensive with him, and co-led two shorter workshops with him at AABT and the ACT/RFT World Congress. I have attended numerous continuing education workshops on ACT by various presenters at AABT, ABA, and The ACT/RFT World Congress. I also have presented numerous workshops on ACT for other professionals.
