ACT/CBS Background and Training: I received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology under the mentorship of Dr. Steven Hayes at the University of Nevada, Reno. I am a certified ACT trainer with 6 years of clinical training in ACT. I also conduct clinical outcome research on ACT. I have led a number of ACT trainings, including several multi-day introductory ACT workshop for clinicians, as well as a number of 1/2 day workshops on core skills, obesity-related stigma and weight loss, ACT research, and combating prejudice; and have published a variety of manuscripts in these areas.
