I just want to WARN the ACBS community that the book titled: CBT+DBT+ACT 10 IN 1 by Joseph Owens and his related books by similar titles are all garbage. They do not deliver the information promised and worse, they are full of obvious misinformation. I'm suggesting that no one buy these books available on line or suggest them (as I mistakenly did) to clients. The title seems ideal, but you might get stuck trying to return it. It lists topics of importance, but the information is shockingly inaccurate. I wasted $30 only to discover that the contents are more or less word salad. Say no more. Please contact me if you have any questions. Please warn others. No one should be selling what boils down to a fake book like this. I have never run into such a fraud, promising so much and delivering inaccurate and misleading "information". Open it and you can find something wrong on every page. Just one example: "Today the term REBT is more often used for a specific form of CBT that does not include the original psychoanalytic techniques." WHAT PSYCHOANALYTIC TECHNIQUES? Albert Ellis said psychoanalysis was a waste of time and he did not use psychnoanalyutic techniques. But every clump of words is like that.
